Earth Weave has developed a very unique carpet unlike any other produced in North America. Earth Weave carpets maintain all the criteria of those looking for the purest, least toxic floor covering available. Bio- Floor can be used without reservation to provide the utmost in comfort and durability while maintaining indoor air quality and your health. Earth Weave is COMPLETELY biodegradable. This is achieved through the use of only 100% natural raw materials.

Earth Weave starts by using only pure wool. We apply no dyes, pesticides, or stain protections that are commonly used by the other carpet manufacturers. The application of these chemicals would greatly affect indoor air quality through the off application of these chemicals would greatly affect indoor air quality through the off gassing of volatile organic compounds.

The primary backing that we use is also an industry first combination of hemp and cotton. Earth Weave is the only carpet company to incorporate an all natural primary backing that is specifically designed for use in our biodegradable flooring. We chose to use the hardy hemp fiber, due to its durability, strength, and mold and mildew resistance.

The wool yarns are locked into place with a natural adhesive that is derived from the rubber tree. This adhesive is completely biodegradable and nontoxic as well. These natural carpets are suitable for baby's room and for the most vulnerable asthmatic or allergic person.

For the back of the carpet we use a jute secondary. Jute was commonly used in the carpet industry before the introduction of the synthetic backings currently employed. We chose to use this type of backing to further our cause of making a completely natural and nontoxic carpet. INERTIA The wool based carpet padding is a blend of course naturally pigmented wool's mechanically needled into a cotton scrim. The padding is free of dyes, fire retardant, glues, moth proofing or adhesives. Color will vary from charcoal brown to tan. This 100% natural wool padding will provide many years of service before needing to be replaced. When it does, we urge our customers to recycle it to the garden where it will safely biodegrade while serving as an effective weed barrier and mulch. Over a period of 2-3 seasons the padding in the soil the inertia carpet underlay will completely disappear, adding nitrogen and other nutrients plants need to the soil. Untreated, undyed wool carpet is healthy. If your doctor puts in your medical file that you should avoid chemical fumes from conventional toxic laden synthetic chemical carpets you can deduct the difference between our healthy carpets and the conventional ones as a heath expense.

Enhance your products performance with a durable all natural foundation. Choose our 100% natural rubber rug pad for a safe non-skid foundation for your area rugs or provide comfort and durability to broadloom carpets with our 100% natural wool-based carpet padding. The rug gripper padding shown here is made of 100% natural rubber for use on hard surfaces. It will provide extra comfort underfoot and helps to prevent slipping of your rug. This pad will not stain any type of floor and can be easily cut with scissors for a custom fit to any size rug. 1/8 the inch thick.

Wool carpets maybe more expensive but last for 50 years and you also will last longer without toxic fumes . Its not a mistake to pay a little more for untreated chemical free wool. Wool fibers are elastic and when crushed or stretched, their resilience enable them to spring back to their original shape. Synthetic fibers flatten, pill or wear in high-traffic areas and squish down beneath heavy furniture. Nothing is as durable as wool. Carpet construction is of tufted textured loop pile, pile height of 6/32 or 8/32 and is 12 ft wide. Pure wool, jute, hemp cotton and natural rubber carpeting.
